Travel Diary – Seoul

I saved the perfect travel gem for last! I loved all the cities I visited in Korea, but Seoul was undeniably my favourite! It was an amazing city with so many different things to do. This post will be a compilation of all the different places I’ve been to in Seoul including cafes, restaurants, clubs, events, attractions, and shopping.

Hongdae

There is so much to do in Hongdae! The street food and shopping there was amazing. There are so many adorable cafes such as the Hello Kitty themed café, Kakao Friends Cafe, dog cafes, and even raccoon cafes! My favourite attraction here was the Trickeye Museum, I had so much fun taking funny and wacky photos with my friends! For nightlife, I enjoyed going to the pub Thursday Party, and for clubs NB2 and Cocoon was fun to party at with my friends!

Namsan Tower

This observation tower is located on Namsan Mountain in Central Seoul. We took a short cable car ride to get to the top area. There is a roof terrace where the Locks of Love could be found! This adorable area is for lovers to lock in their eternal love by throwing away the key as a symbol of everlasting love. There was also an area inside where you could send postcards to your family or friends.

Myeongdong

Myeongdong has amazing street food and shopping! Try the delicious, mouth-watering snacks there such as Korean egg toast, Korean Grilled Cheese Lobster, Kimbap, Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes), fishcake and odeng sticks, gyeran-bbang (Egg Bread), tornado potato, and sausage, mandu (dumplings), baked cheese, takoyaki, jajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodles) Korean Spicy Chicken Skewers (Dakkkochi), 32 cm tall softserve and more! The hot chicken skewers were absolutely incredible and I can’t wait to visit again in the future! I also went a little crazy shopping, check out my makeup and skincare haul above! They give so many samples and gifts too!

Gangnam

The popular underground shopping area is located right under Gangnam terminal. Stylish Korean clothing and accessories can be found here at incredible prices! The traditional Korean dishes here were delicious too! My favourite club in Seoul was Octagon located in Gangnam district. The sound system there was amazing, and I definitely recommend checking it out!

Itaewon

This is the place for foreigners to go to! There are lots of delicious foreign food that can be found at Itaewon. I remembered I ate Russian food for the first time at a quaint and scrumptious restaurant there. The nightlife in Itaewon is also very fun!

This is a pretty scenic park with deers nearby in their own living area! Unfortunately they were too far away for me to greet them.

If you are looking for fresh, mouth-watering seafood, this fish market is the place to go to in Seoul!
